An illustration shows the eleven inch clearance level needed between the ground and B and W Tow and Stow hitch.

Note: To avoid the Tow & Stow hitting steep driveways or curbs, we recommend at least 11" of clearance between the ground and the lowest point of the drop hitch, as seen above.

The B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount lets you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights. Having a 1-7/8" ball, a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball allows for even more versatility, making this the ultimate go-to ball mount if you own multiple trailers.

Easily Adjusts and Stows

B&W Tow & Stow Ball Mount Operation

To switch the hitch ball, simply remove the pin holding the balls in place and rotate the entire block that the balls are mounted on until the ball you want to use is on top. Then replace the pin to secure the block in place.

Adjusting the height of the ball is just as easy. Remove the pins holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Once you have found the correct height, reinsert the pins and replace the clips.

When you're not towing, you can flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang your shins. Just remove the pins to slide the ball platform down along the channel and up the back side so that the hitch balls face towards your vehicle. Then replace the pins.

Built-In Anti-Theft System

The Tow & Stow ball mount features a channel that runs along both sides of the shank. This channel not only allows you to slide the ball mount platform up and down to adjust the ball height, but it also prevents removal of the platform when the ball mount is installed, which will help prevent theft of your trailer.

Single Dimensions

A slot is cut into the adjustment channel near the top of the shank. To remove the ball mount platform from the shank you will need to remove the entire ball mount from your hitch. Then remove the pins that hold the platform in place. Flip the platform around to the stowed position on the rear of the shank, and then slide it up until the center pin lines up with the slot in the shank. Pull the platform out towards the rear of the shank until the pin pops out of the adjustment channel.

When the Tow & Stow is secured in your hitch receiver, you will not be able to remove the ball mount platform. This is because the slot in the shank is positioned in such a way that the collar on your hitch will block the pin on the platform from being able to leave the channel. Even if the pins holding the ball mount platform in place are removed, the platform will still be confined to this channel. So, as long as a hitch lock is used to secure the entire ball mount in your hitch receiver, and a coupler lock is used to prevent your trailer's coupler from being disengaged from the ball, your trailer will be secure.

I purchased this hitch for my 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 which has the multiple tailgate. The hitch was in the stow position but still damaged my tailgate when I had the tailgate fully down and used the step feature. it bent the metal and scratched the paint. So please be aware this hitch is not recommended for the 2024 GMC sierra 3500 with multiple tailgate.

I am sorry to hear about the damage that it has caused your tailgate. I believe the ball mount that would have benefitted you the most would be part # BWTS20066BMP which is designed to be used with the GM MultiPro tail gate. It is also made for 2.5 inch receivers and had up to a 7 inch d r o p. It has an angled design to avoid damaging the gate or step. With the one that you have, it will be best to remove it when not in use.

by:

About a year ago, I bought a new to me truck that needed a 2.5" hitch. I love this 3 in 1 setup. I really like that it stows and I can always have it back there. I haven't used the 1 7/8" yet, but there are plenty of old trailers out there that would need it at some point. I have used the 2" & 2 5/16" plenty. It's sturdy, looks good, and is super convenient, what's not to like about it.

by:

It has been great I used to have to carry three different ball mounts now I just pull a pin and choose the ball size I need and when not in use just flip it around (stow it ) and it is out of the way l do wish that it had one more hitch pin hole so thatI could pull it out just a little more so that I could put my tailgate down when I am hooked to my trailer All in all it’s a great ball mount Ps I also love the vertical adjustment for different hitch highs GOD bless and have a great day

by:

Why did I wait so long to buy this awesome hitch! (I guess because i had my doubts, given the cost). This has been so useful as I have 4 bumper pull trailers with 3 sizes of balls. I dont move them all the time, but when i do use them, i often find myself using more than one in a day. I told my neighbor about my experience and he bought one for each of his trucks. It is SO easy to change the size...like 10-15 seconds

by:

The most bad a$$ hitch ever built. Hauled yards of gravel in a dump trailer all day and it didn't even give me a squeak.

That's the quality of B&W! Definitely worth the price.

by:

It's an adjustable Anvil on the back of my truck, Rock solid. It is as described....."The last hitch you'll ever buy"

by:

The hitch does not come with a pin to attach the hitch to the truck. One of the clips that holds the pin used to move up and down is completely smashed. It will probably break when I remove it to lower the hitch. There is no damage to the box it was shipped in, so it had to be that way when it was put in the box. Seems like a lot of money and now I get to go and buy a new pin clip plus a hitch pin.

by:

Sent the wrong hitch in a box that was obviously opened previously. I paid for newz NOT an open box. Hitch is filthy, and is for a 3" receiver, NOT a 2 1/2". Will have to cancel my trip this weekend as a result. Thanks for nothing.

Very versatile. If I were to purchase again, I’d get the 2 ball hitch.

by:

Should have bought years ago. Works amazing, and super easy to change heights and ball sizes. I have a ram 3500 with 35” tires, and bought the 7” drop I don’t think I would ever need to 7 inch drop but for the price difference I’m glad I bought it.

by:

Works well, but will hit my multi use tailgate on my gmc ,so have too pull it out every time that I want to use the step feature in my tailgate,

by:

Another very solid and well built item from B&W. Put into a 2.5” receiver on a 2018 Ram 2500 with stock suspension and tires. The 7” drop was perfect for all my applications and having the convenience of all three ball sizes makes it nice. Only regret I have it not buying the BOLT locking hitch pin at the same time I bought this. The B&W and BOLT pin go together like peas and carrots.

by:

Definitely rock solid. 4 stars because I think it could be better by having only one pin to pull out the back side rather than 2. It's a small thing, but the 3 hitch pins on one side do look kinda sloppy too. It's a well made product, but at this cost, I'd expect a flawless product, 100% thought out.

Quality is rock solid. No complaints there. I only wish it was designed with fewer pins. Perhaps a permanent pin and notches could take the place of at least one of the pins.

by:

Just installed on my f250. I love it! I ordered the 7.5 inch drop with the 3 different trailer ball sizes. Super simple. I recommend getting the silencer pad as well as the locking pin. Super fast shipping and super fast responses from the team. They go above and beyond.
Will be towing a car trailer with a dodge 2500 on it this weekend so it came at a perfect time.

PS: I have a leveled 2016 F250 on 35x11.50’s. The 7.5 inch drop may be a little bit over kill. Any one looking that has the same truck could probably get by with a 4.5 inch drop.

by:

This B&W hitch is all anyone should need for your average "JOE" towing. It's adjustable for any standard tongue height and size. No more carrying extra ball hitches to my friends to tow their toys. My B&W hitch will do it all! Made in the USA and is of superb quality. Proud to display it on the back of my 2016 F350 Super Duty!

by:

This product is exactly what I was looking for and I didn’t think anyone made it, but etrailer had it! This B&W product is a well manufactured piece of equipment and it’s even better than I thought. I have a 2-1/2” receiver on my 2013 f 350 and it fits perfectly and looks great. The quality of the welds and of each component of the mount is excellent. The ground clearance with the mount in the down direction is about 9” on my truck with no load in the bed or trailer attached. Some f 350s I’ve seen are lower than mine, so the 4-1/2” drop option might work better for lower trucks. Good luck and happy towing! Another happy customer to etrailer, thanks guys!

by:

Very nice hitch... great quality, very sturdy and super convenient not having to rotate hitches for various ball sizes. The hitch was delivered on time and in it's original B&W box designed to protect it. The folks from etrailer informed me when it shipped and monitored until it was delivered. Highly suggest a locking hitch pin for this product, caught my neighbor trying to steal it first day ;-)

by:

Well made. Finish looks great. FYI it doesn't come with a reciever pin. Just the right amount of drop for my 2019 Ram 2500. It tucks up underneath for low profile storage without issue.
Cons: price is a bit steep compared to some other brands. Especially since it doesn't include the reciever pin.

by:

The hitch was delivered very quickly. etrailer kept us informed as to when the hitch would ship. It even shipped earlier than expected! My husband is VERY satisfied with this purchase. We are moving and the hitch my husband had before was not very sturdy and he was afraid it would break with the load. With this heavy-duty hitch, we'll have no issues with pulling any load.

by:

I have used it while towing my wood splitter, my 10 foot Belmont trailer and my 20 foot Car Mate trailer. Very convenient to select the size ball and to change over rapidly. I also keep it stowed in place but locked as it is very desirable.
I find I have to keep the pins lubricated and be careful when it slides down to stow.

by:

Perfect for all 3 of my trailers that ride at different heights and have 2 different ball sizes. Additionally the stow option is great for daily use of my truck on job sites and it prevents me from hitting my shins.

by:

Love the "Stow and Go" no more busted shins with the balls tucked up under the bumper. Switching the ball size is quick and easy. American Made and much heavier than I expected with I went to pick it up. Perfect fit on my 2015 Ram and love that it is 2 1/2" ball mount so I don't need the adapter.

by:

I've towed with B&W hitches in the past. They fold away nicely and leave a good clean look. Paired with a 2023 F250 stock. No level or lift, on stock 20" wheels, and 275/65r20 tires (34") I went with the 7" drop hitch. Attached in the pictures you'll see that you have the 11" ground clearance so there's no worries there.

by:

Looks very solid and quality. This should help me out towing a Cherokee on a trailer.

by:

This best of a hitch is great!! I'm excited to own it. It's perfect at 18000 lbs tow capacity.
